♨ The Fat Fish, Mont Kiara

- update  : as per October 2016, they've changed their menu. -

----------------------------------------------------------

Whether or not you like japanese food
sashimi is undeniably an incredible beautiful food
for someone that crave for sashimi all the time

The Fat Fish @ Mont Kiara
is the right place to go
and
I promise you an over-satisfied palate experience here

The Menu

Fresh seafood display

Fresh salmon cuts

and drinks

We didn't book so we waited for almost 40 minutes to get a seat
initially was quite frustrated as they promised us a seat in 30 minutes
but every empty slot after we arrived
is reserved for those who has booked earlier

so guys, the moral of the story is
MAKE A RESERVATION
it is really important

But anyway, we were given an extra table after a long wait
and immediately after the food arrived
we are all happy
satisfied

the food is too good
ineffably toothsome dish

Sashimi Cuts (Apprx RM18)

look at our food!
damn those delicate textures
vivid colours
extraordinary fresh chunks of sashimi
it is indefinable

Barachi Rashi RM25

Salmon Don RM18

and if you are not a fans of raw fishes
here's something cooked , for you to try

Garlic Cream with Smoked Salmon RM20

I'm very happy with the food
and I'll definitely be back again!

♨ Foo Foo Fine Desserts, TTDI

It's amazing how instagram brought me to all these places
Foo Foo Fine Desserts, TTDI
one of my instagram surfing's haul

Its an exceedingly unique place
situated just above Cutter & Tailor (next to Public Bank)
with a fusion deco of minimalist x 1960's aura

Foo Foo entrance

Once we stepped into the restaurant
we were welcomed by a group of men in black tees
all looking good
such a sight haha!
me and my bff - Sabrina squealed a little when we enter the restaurant
well, where else you can get
"a bunch of good looking guys that serve good desserts"
right?

Them, playing Cards Against Humanity

Further into the restaurant
more sightly feast to our eyes!
love the simplicity / classic vibe given off by Foo Foo!

Flimsy looking lazy chairs

menu at it's best!
Ice creams served here are all home-made with natural ingredients

and of course
the desserts we ordered
*drum roll*

1. Poached pear with rose petal ice cream (RM29)
Masala spiced red wine poached pear with rose petal ice cream plus walnut tuile

Poached Pear with Rose Petal Ice Cream (RM29)
I personally like the rose petal ice cream a lot
at first I thought it will taste like normal rose syrup
but it is not!
So much more fragrant =)

but I guess its an acquired taste for my friends as they were not sure whether they like it or not
haha
I would say it tasted really unique though

2. Passionfruit Pavlova (RM23)
Passion Pavlova with Lime Chantilly

Passion Pavlova (RM23)

Must try!
I repeat : MUST TRY!
Unlike other pavlova
Foo Foo's Pavlova is specially made crusty outside and very soft & cottony inside!
and the best part is
they mixed white and brown sugar in making this so it won't turn out to be too sweet
good job Foo Foo!
I used to go Alexis for their Pavlova but guess what?
I found my new fave place now!

3. Bombe Alaska (RM25)
Lemon grass ice cream covered with meringue + alcohol

Bombe Alaska (RM25)
when we looked through the menu together with one of the co-founder
he mentioned this may be a bit too heavy for us
but we still order it!
I have to say, the lemon grass ice cream is damn good
(May be bias as I'm a lemon grass fans)
but for those that don't like alcohol in desserts
this may be not suitable for you =P
but worth the try though!

Other recommendations :
1. Cripsy Profiteroles with Salted Caramel Coffee Ice Cream
2. Strawberry Tart with Balsamic Vinegar Ice Cream
3. Mango Lychee Ice Cream slice with Fruit Salsa

Reminder :
If you are there to try their Almond Brioche with home-made ice cream as advertised in various instagram accounts
mind that they have changed their menu and it is no longer in it!

Dessers love me, I love desserts too!

My humble ratings :
Food : 4.5 / 5
Price : 4 / 5
Ambience : 5 / 5
Service : 5 / 5
